Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions
a. "Carrier" refers to the air freight company responsible for transporting the goods.
b. "Shipper" refers to the party sending the goods.
c. "Consignee" refers to the party receiving the goods at the destination.
d. “Freight Forwarder” refers to the company deals between shipper and consignee. Here it
is Ackme Couriers
2. Booking and Acceptance of Goods
a. Shipper shall provide accurate and complete information regarding the goods to be
shipped.
b. Door to door package should not contain any commercial quantities, liquor, narcotics,
tobacco, e-cigarettes, pipes, vape pens, medicinal cannabis and illegal narcotics.
c. Money and valuables such as jewellery, precious stones, gems, cash, cheques, coins are
completely prohibited.
3. Charges and Payments
a. Shipper is responsible for all freight charges, fees, and applicable taxes.
b. Payment terms and methods shall be agreed upon before the shipment.
4. Packaging and Labelling
a. Shipper is responsible for proper packaging and labelling of goods.
b. Goods must comply with international air freight regulations.
5. Documentation
a. Shipper shall provide all necessary details of items.
b. Any delay due to incomplete or inaccurate information about items is the responsibility of
the shipper.
6. Liability and Insurance
a. The carrier's liability for loss or damage to the goods is limited to $75.00
7. Customs Clearance
a. Any customs duties or taxes shall be borne by the shipper or consignee, as applicable.
8. Delays and Force Majeure
a. The carrier is not liable for delays caused by factors beyond its control, such as weather,
strikes, or government regulations and political conditions
9. Claims
a. Any claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 10 days after the goods
are delivered.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
a. The terms and conditions are governed by the laws of UK and Sri Lanka.
b. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration or mediation as per the agreed-upon
method.
Sea Freight Terms and Conditions
? Door to door packages should not exceed 40kg for the T/Chest box. When not
complied with these terms’ packages might be withheld by customs or additional
taxes and charges will apply.
? Electronic items need to be advised in advance, there will be duties and taxes to be
paid. When not complied with these terms’ packages will be withheld by customs or
items will be removed.
? Items sent in commercial quantities will be liable for additional duties and taxes.
Refrain from sending same item in larger quantities.
? Consignment should not contain any liquor, narcotics, tobacco, high value items
(jewellery, currency notes, coins, precious gems and stones etc.). Ackme Couriers
will not be held responsible for detaining of such packages by government
authorities.

? Each piece is limited to 20kg. When not complied with these terms’ packages might
be withheld by customs or additional taxes and charges will apply.
? Please list below for prohibited items via air freight.
? Items sent in commercial quantities will be liable for additional duties and taxes.
